Why Isn’t Anyone Asking Why…….

I’m saddened and frustrated that no one within the community is asking why, and hopefully there are others like me….. that are asking…..

Why was WCCO contacted?

Why was a prominent education attorney contacted?

Why were simple and plainly stated district policies ignored?

Not to many years ago, this district was in a similar situation; but IMHO much much worse!

A district leader, was accused, and found to be guilty of inappropriate actions towards over 60 young high school aged girls.

A teacher was accused of sending pictures of his genitalia, while allegedly drinking alcohol and smoking weed with those same young female students.

He was allowed to leave with merely a slap on the wrist….. and a few years of insurance coverage!!?

Not once in either of those instances was WCCO and/or ANY national news outlet contacted or gave any information to the public.

The community even organized a “Hibbing Parents Coalition.” Ugh, I feel dirty even typing those words today; so dirty in fact a shower is needed!

NOT ONCE during any of the above was a high profile attorney “on the scene.”

Sure the MNDHR got involved. Mr. Lindsey was brought to town, made a speech… placated parents, and a few months later a report was filed.

All of this information is easily found on this site, including the full report.

The admin. and teacher are now known as former employees of ISD #701.

End of story.

Fast forward to May 2019…..

WDIO breaks a story, Hibbing High School teacher put on “administrative leave.”

All is quiet for days.

Holy crap!! That’s just not good enough… I know….

I think WCCO needs to be made aware!

Then all hell breaks loose….. with audio recordings of said teacher, and only the teachers voice on the recordings that were released.

Social media is in an uproar, rumor whore Dawn says this, rambling rumor Ron says that. Hmm… kind of by design, in the wrongful release of said audio clips, wouldn’t it appear??

Then an education lawyer needs to be brought in saying this and saying that. “Oh the bravery of this young child” to take it upon themselves to record said teacher “over many weeks.”

I call B. and S. on that statement by the attorney.

What JH child has enough focus to do such a thing, without being prompted to do so on a daily basis??

I do not know one!!

The ones I do know, barely get their homework or chores done on a daily basis without constant reminders!!

See what I’m getting at here??

WDIO, WCCO, education attorney, CNN….. am I the only one whose seeing the connection?

Ok, I’ll speak so there is no “doubt.”

Does this “group of parents” have such a vendetta for this teacher, and obviously this school district??

OR… OR…. OR…. is it a situation of convenience? For a darker “root of all evil” reason? Now that would be interesting to find out, now wouldn’t it?

THAT…….

1. They’ll leak such an obvious one sided narrative to the public, so said teacher is crucified in the court of public opinion., while using the cover of a child to do so??

How mentally warped is that??

2. This “group of parents” obviously think their little Johnny’s and Suzy’s are more worthy of this kind of power hungry attention whoring than 60 young high school girls; and a handful of girls who saw their teachers private parts on their phones and/or email??

Give me a freaking break!!!

AND……

3. This is a blanket statement…. That proves this “group of parents” knew releasing the audio was sly, sneaky, underhanded and wrong!!

It just proves a bigger point….. how big their vendetta is for said teacher, and district…. WAIT… hold on… maybe NOT!

Nope…. I’ll hang on to this information until I can get confirmation.

It would be really nice if the public DID KNOW……

1. In the release of said audio clips….. unfair labor practices were used, by bypassing all district and labor contract and employment privacy by releasing to the public.

2. Not ISD #701’s fault.

3. Teachers name and the audio were released by the “group of parents” lawyer.

This should not have happened!!

4. The releasing of audio, bypasses the applicable process to put it in the court of public opinion, as stated above, instead of due process. this fact deals with PELRA laws.

All I’m asking…. is ask yourself WHY….. Does anything about this situation, and how it’s unfolded… pass the smell test??

it’ll be interesting to continue watching how things continue to unfold. What’s the next “breaking news” story we can expect?

Same Old Song and Dance For ISD#701; Not So Fast…..

I’ll preface this by giving a shout out to………

The thankfully now former H.H.S. teacher slinking around the internet like the spineless coward he is; while also pretending to be a current teacher…… You should’ve kept your mouth shut!

How do you like me now?? Be careful what you ask for!!

Ok, carry on…..

This is in reference to the Hibbing High School teacher recently put on leave……..

If teachers are held to the utmost standards… which has been proven, (at the Hibbing High School) and recent past practice is still very fresh in all community members minds.

Teachers and school administrators certainly should be held to a higher standard. This standard has not been the case in years past.

However, I do not believe this is one of those times.

The district and the union did what was right, in those situations through following their set procedures.

The school district along with the union, since that unfortunate time have followed their own set procedures.

At times, these procedures have seemed tedious.

Thankfully, past mistakes have turned into one that now follows a standard of fairness and quality, no matter how onerous the process appeared, it followed a set protocol.

If you think I’m mistaken, please look at any social media platform since this recent “leave of absence” story broke, people are assuming the worst of a very respected teacher.

Why has this happened?

Why hasn’t the set process been followed?

My thought… chalk it up to “the sins of the past.”

I know the teacher who is being accused. I also know him to be a good and decent man.

I know he is exceptional at his job.

Over the past four to five years, the reputation of the school district is it does not “support the bad apples” However, when one of the “good ones” is wrongly accused,  both the union and school district will stand steadfast in support. This must be the case.

 So the question is, where does that leave the students?

Each student gets the web address to the school handbook, on day one of the new school year; along with a sheet that needs to be turned in soon after…. with the parent/s and students both signing.

That handbook clearly states what is excepted and what isn’t.

Claiming ignorance of not going over this should not be an excuse; it took me all of 30 seconds to find this!!

The school district also has policies in place to deal with certain situations that may arise. This being a guideline for what the expectation is of the student.

There’s acceptable behavior and there’s unacceptable behavior.

See #ISD701 policy #527 section J.

Which states……. 

“Students are not allowed to take photos, videos, or audio recordings of staff without their permission.”

If a student records a video of a teacher in his own classroom without consent, where’s the student’s accountability?

In the recent situation were the proper procedures followed?

If so, why and why not?

Furthermore, the student handbook clearly states, “phones must be put away and turned off in the classroom.”  Were these simple rules followed, by the students and the teachers? Again, if not…. why?

If there’s a certain “chain of command” regarding how each and every different circumstance is to be handled, were they followed?  I don’t know, as I’m sure you do not either.

Before everyone jumps to conclusions, let the district follow their guidelines for a change?

As we’ve all witnessed multiple times over the past eight years, seeing one side of the story is often a recipe for coming to the wrong conclusion!! 

Teachers have been faced with having to do more of the parents’ role in addition to the already difficult job of educating the students.

Why are parents today so quick to blame the teacher for the poor behavior of disrespectful children??

I think it is time for parents to look at themselves and the type of parenting being done.

It is imperative that children be held accountable for their actions and mistakes, rather than enabling their bad behavior.

“I’m so saddened & disappointed as it could be any one of us in any place of employment – and where is our voice.

A reputation is now ruined, regardless of being found innocent or guilty; as this student and parents would like.

We (teachers) don’t video kids harassing, hitting, swearing, walking away from us, spitting on us, swearing at us, etc…. as that’s not allowed; and unfortunately, they tell us it’s part of the job.

Where and when do our (teachers) rights begin?

Do We have any?

This should be resolved- diplomatically and according to protocol and school rules.

ISD #701…. Name Recognition Voting!!??

Well, I made it through something that’s completely out of my “comfort zone.”

The first school board candidate forum… which was on 10/9.

Did I answer all the questions to the best of my ability?

I’d have to say no, but I feel I didn’t embarrass myself as much as I thought I would, not to bad for my first time in that kind of format.

I also feel my passion for doing what’s right for children/teachers and the district did come through.

Then my scheduled HPAT interview… 10/16…. talk about out of my comfort zone….wow!!

I wasn’t able to say as much as I’d like during my interview. Let me rephrase that….. What I did talk about was important and pertinent to the school board…. thank you Patty Miller.

Although I touched a little on the title of this post…. it was not enough for me.

So here we are!

Back to the candidate forum, and the meat of this post.

One thing that surprised me was the absence of our current school board chair. Something that I’ve since learned he does on a regular basis.

Why on earth is this man still on the school board??

If an elected official deems himself “to good” (because that’s what it looks like), to come before the public (that elects board members), to answer basic questions….. why does he still get elected??

If you were hiring someone for a J.O.B. and they didn’t show up for the interview; would you hire them anyway??

Well, this community has “hired” the current school board chair year after election year…. then we as a community wonder why our school board has been such an underachieving unit for how many years now??? Our school aged children, both HUE and AFSCME unions, the community as a whole should be demanding more!

COMMON SENSE!!

Just because someone’s name is always on the ballot… DOES NOT mean you check the box next to his name!!

NAME RECOGNITION voting for school board members needs to stop!

Longevity does not equal smart decisions that help our communities school age children, teachers and supporting players, and district…. it builds complacency, a preconceived notion of power and or the illusion of “being untouchable,” all while losing touch with what’s important and doing things that only benefit ones self!!

This mans time has come; and as November 6th nears, you the community need to ask yourselves why??

Why is he still representing the community/children/district on the school board?

Why does he not humble himself before the community, and put himself “out there” with the rest of us?

In my opinion this is the MAIN problem with school board leadership…. when the chair has a sense of entitlement; when the chair thinks he is “to good” to answer even one question…. that’s a problem!!

Am I alone is this line of thinking??

It seems to me a little common sense would go a long, long way… in seeking true and needed change at the school board level… saying nothing about other levels above and beyond the school board.

Another issue I wasn’t able to bring up in my Hpat interview…. why isn’t anyone talking about one huge group that keeps getting ignored…. the AFSCME union. They DO NOT have a new contract either.

The AFSCME union are, the custodians, secretaries, paraprofessionals, grounds crew, technology support, LPN’s, plumbers, electricians, etc.

I get the HUE gets most of the headlines, as one would expect….. but the school district can not run without the AFSCME union members. They are the “people behind the scenes.” They are the HUE’s education partners, and the district acts like their voice does not exist.

One group does not work without the other…. AGAIN…..

Yes, I’m Running for a Seat on the Hibbing School Districts School Board.

I’ve been noticeably quiet over the last many months, by design….

Why did I decide to throw my hat in the political fray???

To begin, I’m an upset parent who has seen misstep after misstep by the current and former school board members, with no rectifying solution in site!!

The former superintendent allegedly lied and cheated his way to a raise.  This left the ISD#701 teachers union with NO contract in site. HE PROMISED the teachers “their time would come.” Well, he’s now the former superintendent (good thing), and yet the teachers are still WITHOUT A NEW CONTRACT.

When times were tight, the teachers did what any union and their members do…. tighten things up, and wait until things turn around. With limited financial security of the district, the union members lessened their demands.

The union has compromised, but the school board will not. It’s beyond pathetic the school board doesn’t recognize that the last 400 days without a teachers contract, states that The board by no means values the teachers, and students!

Supposedly, the district is NOT in dire financial straits.  In contrast, there is an 8-12 million dollar surplus. If this is the case, then why isn’t YOUR elected board doing more to deliver our valuable teachers a reasonable contract??

I’m not pretending I know what’s what, but for PetesSake…..… Why is OUR school board refusing to negotiate in good faith with OUR valued teachers?

Furthermore, another issue of utmost importance is mental health assistance for students.

MInnesota has the 4TH worst student to counselor ratio in the United States. This is a travesty. Nationally the average is 481 students to 1 counselor, in Mn. It Is 723 students to 1 counselor.

Minnesota HAS THE 4TH WORST STUDENT/COUNSELOR RATIO in the country!! How embarrassing is that??Some Mn. school districts are dealing with 1,035/1!!!??

I’ve since learned ISD#701 has hired one or two more counselors… but I’m getting vague information. Either way the ratio is still NOT what it should be!!

Some more facts (from the article linked above)…. the American School Counselor Association advocates for 250/1. Far removed from the national average.

In 2016 the Minnesota Legislator worked to address the shortfall.  They approved a 12 million dollar grant program for matching funds, this grant lasts 6 years. Was ISD#701 one of 77 Minnesota districts that applied? If not, do they have any intention of applying in the 6 year timeframe?

Kids Mental Health Issues:

1 in 5 have mental health problems.

43% increase in ADHD.

37% increase in teen depression.

100% increase in suicide rate in kids 10-14 years old.

With the iPads being such a HUGE part of the learning curriculum of this district, the mental health curriculum also needs to be improved……. If a child is struggling with mental illness, how possibly can an iPad help?????

The district has given children “Pandora’s Box” and just left them alone with it!!

That’s wrong on so many levels!!

The district has no foresight in regards to electronic learning.

Medical studies are already indicating the long term detriment of repetitive electronic exposure.

The board demonstrates little to NO knowledge as to how their decisions are damaging our children.

A few examples…. Billy and Johnny talk amongst themselves about drugs during the school day…. they both can look up whatever they want about said drugs once their at home, or anywhere they can connect to WiFi. The same can be said about Suzy and Sally after talking about sex during the school day with their peers. Am I the only one who sees a problem with the districts refusal of implementing more mental health protocols in the 7th – 9th grades and beyond??

In my job as a school bus driver for district ISD#701 via Shubat Transportation, I am witness to the need for expanded mental health care.

Teachers see it first hand. What is the district doing to help the teachers assist their students in getting the help they need??

In reference to this…. 3/22/17 school board meeting.

The three community members who spoke are 100% correct!! Something needs to be done before it’s too late…….. I believe Mr. Finco needs to DO HIS job for a change.

My intent is to bring to the school board the voice of reason and common sense.

I DO NOT have a personal agenda.

I WILL put ALL youth at the fore front of my actions.

In fact, the actions of the current school board members in NO way shape or form represent the needs of the students or teachers!

I’m a firm believer one CAN NOT move forward  without looking to the mistakes of the past.

The goal of the future school board should be to learn from past mistakes, while improving the outlook for the school district.

OUR COMMUNITY’S CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER!!

Another issue I’d like to see done, is job performance evaluations of all ISD#701 administrators, this evaluation should be done by teachers and other staff, these evaluations must be taken into account for future salary increments and continued employment.

Also, the technology department should be given the same evaluations.

With the increase of students with special needs, the class size must be decreased. It is ridiculous that class sizes are close to 30 with at least 2/3 of these students needing more assistance than one teacher can provide…… And if money is short when it’s time to upgrade iPads NO MONIES shall be taken from any school fund that furthers the arts!!

No band fund, no art fund, no drama fund, no knowledge bowl fund… NOTHING!!

If money is short for new iPad purchasing it comes from sports team budgets PERIOD!!

No more taking money from the arts!!

Continuing….. Girls sports need to have the same gym time as boys sports!! In recent years, girls sports have been second to boys.

Also, older school sports kids will practice at later times, while the younger school children in sports will have early practice times.

This is common sense, yet it doesn’t seem to exist in the current scheduling.

I want to change the current trend of the school board.

Personal agendas and close-minded attitudes need to be a thing of the past. The priority MUST BE THE STUDENTS, THE TEACHERS AND THE DISTRICT.

Please DO NOT vote for me….. if you DO NOT want to hear the truth, have people called out for not doing their jobs to the best of their ability, for the salary they receive; or if straight common sense talk makes you uncomfortable

My goal is to have ISD#701 be the POWERHOUSE OF EDUCATION that it once was!!

This sight has been lost for years with the current school board.

The time has come for needed change, OUR children deserve it!!

ISD #701…. What Do I Think??

​In light of yesterday’s (July 6th 2016), “breaking news” story in the HDT.

I’ve been fielding a lot of “what do you think” questions. 
Really, who am i, but a concerned parent and community member?

My opinion is no more important than yours, or anyone else’s. 

I am however someone who has felt the school district has mishandled multiple situations, that should have garnered quick and easy decisions.
See RIGHT and WRONG here!! 
I’m also  someone whose been unafraid to stand up and voice my feelings in a public manner. All be damned if you DO NOT like it!!

I haven’t been so publicly vocal to gain friends, or make enemies… although I’ve been told I’ve gathered people on both sides!! 😉 😉

I simply DO NOT care what anyone thinks of me!!
Yet again, I’ve been vocal because it’s NOT about me…..  However, it is the right thing to do. … for my children, your children and the community’s children. 

Despite popular belief, by certain individuals… I DO NOT live in Colorado… I DO NOT know everything, and I AM a very active member of this community!! 

Ok, Ok, Ok…..

Well, since I’ve been asked……. 😉 😉 😉 

I’m disappointed in the fact this teacher was given an opportunity to resign at all!! The school board should’ve continued with a termination; whereas that record of termination would stick to his record like glue; and warn other school districts of his deviant behavior towards young girl’s. Is this another male teacher/administrator that I have to follow their job search?? So be it!! 

With that said….. 
I’m not privy to any of the behind the scenes information; but the district probably had their reasons to proceed in this manner. Maybe saving themselves from a long drawn out court battle? Maybe a year’s wages, and three year’s health coverage was a deal compared to the alternative for us the tax payers?

It does not make it right, and I’m giving the district the benefit of the doubt here…. something (if you’ve been following along),  i have not done in the past!!

Don’t worry, I’m not getting soft!!

With this teacher gone, the safety of the students will be vastly improved!! 

I think this quote says a lot about what a little perverted predator of young girls this teacher is….. 

“Considering the circumstances surrounding the school district as well as being a head coach, I decided to seek career opportunities that better align with my family and best interests in mind.”

You mean to tell me, by you sending pictures of your genitalia to young high school girls, buying them alcohol, and smoking marijuana with these same young high school aged girls, these actions didn’t voluntarily put you in this situation?? I find it scary that you DO NOT see, that YOU are/were part of the problem!! 

You self-centered arrogant little man…. I’d have more respect for you, if you’d have stood up, like a man, and admitted your mistakes with a strong backbone. Instead you choose to hide behind some preconceived statement!!??!! 

Both you and your wife have already brought shame to your family…. to a once fine school district, (that is/was trying to recover from another deviant perverts behavior) and to the community as a whole!!
I could care less about you two as adults!! You’ve made your own bed, now sleep in it!! 

I feel for your children!! To be a child in this day and age, and have your parents do something so STUPID for the whole community to witness, plus and above all else, their peers??
I’m sorry kids!! 

Why is it, I feel the need to apologize for other adults lack of morality and proper judgment?? 

It’s a sad sad retrospective of the society we live in today!!

School board chair John Berklich…the community, and Fleming’s victims are still waiting for an apology from you, and the school board…. pertaining to Mr. Fleming’s PROVEN… let me say that again John…. PROVEN misconduct!!

Did you really think I’d miss an opportunity to call you out as an ignorant coward??
Do the right thing John!! 
Your silence is showing your lack of a spine!!

Your lack of the willingness to do what is RIGHT!!

Do you even listen to your fellow board member’s and their opinions; or is your “incestuial knowledge” so deeply rooted in your being that you know nothing else?? 

Also, for concerned community members, concerned parents, and just for the purpose of complete and total transparency; I think the school board’s determination on discipline of the four other ISD #701 employees that were under investigation, should be made public. 

Of course sensitive information does not need to be released, but saying something publicly would go a long way with the community.

 
Lastly, thank you Mr. Johnson for standing up for our communities children, saying enough of this perverted behavior already!! 

Thank you also to Mr. Clover, Mr. Vincent and Ms. Nyberg; I do not envy the frustration and ignorance dealing with the other three board members twice a month must be like.

Your time is now Sir!!
Your inherited problem of Fleming’s deviant behavior will no longer, as of June 30th… be your problem.

Principal  F. However is your problem…. have you ever checked into this man’s previous work history?
Do you know why he’s the principal of H.H.S.?
It would behoove you to check into this man’s past work history….. if you do so…. it will become apparent why he failed at his job of being a mandated  reporter, and why reports of misconduct by Mr. Fleming just disappeared into thin air.
It would also shed a light on how UNDESERVING this man was to have
received any kind of award for excellence!!

There is plenty of good within ISD #701; (which I have not been shy about saying in the past, maybe i should’ve stated it more?), it’s a shame the same CAN NOT be said about some of the ADULTS that have been tasked with being “leaders” of this district!!

School board member Kathy Nyberg wrote an outstanding piece in the Hibbing Daily Tribune this week.
I would be doing the students of ISD #701 a disservice by not adding it here!!

Convenient For ISD #701, Or By Design?

Well, on 4/6/2016 the other shoe dropped on one Jac Fleming. GOOD….. Our school children are a bit safer as of today…. or June 30th…. which is it?
That was rather confusing to read in the HDT, one would hope that gets some clarification, sooner than later.

Even the three obstructionist school board members couldn’t screw up the vote to accept this pig’s resignation.
I for one will volunteer to follow you around to your next job Mr. Fleming, especially….. (God pray it’s not) at a school.
Did he keep his teaching license, or his  counselor’s license? (Sarcasm) if this statement is lost on you, read here skip right to the MNDHR report half way down. It’s long, but you’ll see if you read through it all. 😉

While there is reason to be excited in this news, also temper your excitement with the steely resolve that much more needs to be done within this district, for our young ones to be truly safe!!

The topic of misconduct by ISD #701 administration and certain staff IS NOT negativity, it’s news.
News that should be known by all; NOT swept into some corner, or “under the rug”….. where only the “privileged few” are privy. As I’ve stated before, those past actions are why we are here today.

Let me take a moment to repeat myself…
The reason I’m being so vocal…
That reason is NOT about me!!
Me standing and saying……..
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH already, IS about each and every child in this district; YOUR child, my children… the COMMUNITY’S children!!
Please DO NOT lose sight of this FACT!!
I also DO NOT take pride in writing these words, or any words prior on this sad topic.

Actually writing about this topic is becoming depressing and dark.

However, if my words and thoughts (on this subject), make just one person stop and ask themselves, “what the hell is going on” in this school district, then it has been worth it.
That in essence, makes one more person whose eyes have been opened to the bad that’s been happening in this district.

I’m tired of the whispers.
I’m tired of seeing the looks of pain in the eyes, and on certain parents faces while they talk (what little they can share) about what happened to their child at the hands of so-called adult LEADERS within this school district.
It’s shameful a parent has to watch their child suffer over something that was so preventable, yet was left to happen so frequently, by the very people who could have stopped it after report NUMBER 1.
SHAMEFUL!!
Trust me when I say, I’d much rather write and post pictures about “stupid bike shit” instead!!

One principal Mr. F. a supposed  “mandated reporter”….
Which means…..

“mandated reporters are people who have regular contact with vulnerable people/children and are therefore legally required to ensure a report is made when abuse is observed or suspected.”

The man who was in charge of making sure all recorded incidents of misconduct by one Jac Fleming (or whomever) were properly recorded and cataloged!! Again……………..

Guess what, that never happened!! Hence, now former (or soon to be) ISD #701 employee Jac Fleming kept hold of his job for far longer than he would have if Mr. F. would have done his J.O.B.!
Why oh why is no one investigating this man?? His past should warrant more than just a casual glance!!
If I performed my job as poorly as this man did his, guess what, I’d be looking for a new job!!
How about you, if you handled your job as Mr. F. has??

How on earth do 60 plus misconduct reports just disappear??

Also, a fact that SHOULD NOT be lost on ANYONE.. how does a local priest get charged with sexual misconduct at the private catholic school. Subsequently gets walked out of the building in handcuffs,  lead straight to jail, and there he sits while the investigation is “on going.”

Yet a high school teacher who sent pictures of his genitalia to young girls, and is also the high school boys head (hmm hmm) is asked to leave the school after the season is over, told to stay away; but we’ll still pay you while the investigation is ongoing??
There there little perv, coddle coddle, it’ll be ok!!??
WHAT?? Are you freaking kidding me??!! This jack-ass should be sitting in a cell right next to the priest!!!  “While the investigation is ongoing.”
Please, Please… someone tell me the difference between the priest and the creepy “junk” picture sending teacher…. ANYONE??
I DO NOT understand…… is it as simple as the teachers union standing behind him, despite his lude, and yet to be determined possible criminal behavior?
God I would hope not!!
When you prey on children, even a union has to take a stand against such actions….. one would think, correct?
Or am I just to much of a black and white……..(there CAN NOT be any gray on this matter)….. right and wrong kind of thinker??

Yes, this fact pisses me off to no end also……
And anyone that truly knows me, knows me leaving something unsaid stings!! 😉 but out of respect for the ones I call family it must be this way. So be it. Anyway, I make up for it below!! 😉

Which brings me to this…. I was called and asked to talk with the investigator this past week… I reluctantly agreed.
Knowing full well what was to be asked of me; while I had hoped it would be deeper than some strong opinions
typed out on a computer screen, alas it was not!!

I’ll say the conversation was short, and I left the room as soon as I saw where the questions were headed…..
Again, this whole mess is not about ME.
Yes, I know…. keep going……

As I left the high school these thoughts were running through my mind on my pedal home………. (thank God for my bicycle!!!)
If the district truly took any and all allegations seriously, why are you (the investigator) here now, and someone else wasn’t here 50, 40, 30, 20, or even 5 years ago???

Could it be because we finally have a competent superintendent???

Ladies and gentlemen i think we have a winner!!
Even in the brief time i sat with the investigator,  i definitely sensed the distinct under tones of coming change…… again…… gathered from the brief time I sat with the young investigator/attorney type fellow…. nice enough young man he was; doing a thankless job far away from home.  Again, I’m sorry I wasted your time Sir.

I do have to say MY opinion of Mr. Johnson has come to be one of…. “he’s here to do THE RIGHT thing.” He did walk into this shit show, and while change is not easy and may not move along as swiftly as we parents or community member’s would like….. keep in mind… and this is important…. The superintendent works for the school board….. so eggshells must be walked upon by Mr. Johnson…. the man’s lively hood, and way of providing for his family would be on the line if he was to take the way of the bull through the china shop approach.
One Mr. Johnson made a public apology for Christ sake, on behalf of the district, and as he said he wasn’t even employed by this district at the time.
Yet the so-called leaders who have been with this district from the beginning of this “shit show” sit silently with their mouths firmly closed, and say nothing!!
This should speak volumes to the community; are you listening???

UNTIL and…….
I’ll say this again… Mr. John Berklich, Mr. Tony Kuznik and Mr. Jeff Polcher are removed from this current school board, this superintendent CAN NOT truly be the change this district so desperately needs!!!
Our community and above all our community’s children deserve better than Mr. John Berklich, Mr. Tony Kuznik and Mr. Jeff Polcher…. is that clear enough community members??
Remember their silence when November 2016 gets here!!!

Yes, I have strong feelings about the misconduct and unequivocally horrid behavior that’s been going on in this district for far to long; but I ask……… Who am I? I am literal nobody.
I am however one extremely pissed off human being.

How can a tenured teacher, a substitute teacher and a supposed leader of a school in this district bring about as much shame, if not more than Mr. Fleming did????

Why am I one of so few who’ve been speaking up so publicly?
I am not anyone special, believe you me!! As I stated above I’m nobody…..

I am however unafraid of people like Mr. John Berklich or Mr. Tony Kuznik and Mr. Jeff Polcher….. they are mere men.
Two of these three men are from an era of rampant corruption within ISD #701…. lead by the likes of former superintendent Belluzzo.
Why does this district find itself where it does today? Look no further than the likes of Berklich, Kuznik and Belluzzo.

Furthermore, what people think of me makes little difference to me… either you like me, or you do not…. yes it’s actually that simple.
I DO NOT lose any sleep worrying about people who do not like me…. boo hoo.
If I did, trust me I’d never sleep!! 😉

I DO NOT answer to you or anyone else. I have a backbone, I have a voice, and I am my own man, and will speak freely unafraid!! Last time I checked we still live in America!!

I will continue to be UNAFRAID to speak up, and speak up loudly when I see bad things happening to children, especially children, I just CAN NOT stay silent!!
The affected children may not be my own, but they could be.

Also, if I wasn’t able to speak up, for whatever reason, I sure the hell hope someone would stand up and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH already!

I know for a fact there’s other people within this community with far more knowledge of the wrong doings by people in supposed power within this school district!!!

I ask…. WHERE ARE YOU??

Will you step forward unafraid, strong, and willing to do what’s right for, and by the young school aged members of this community??
Where are the people who really know all this district’s dirty little secrets??

The people I feel for the most, besides the young children obviously; are the teachers…. again I’m going to repeat myself, but I think it’s VERY VERY important!
There are more awesomely GOOD teachers than bad, from the high school teachers on down through all levels of ISD #701. Good hard-working, UNDER paid individuals!!!
I’ve kept my distance from the schools, for obvious reasons……. BUT……

I imagine this has been the year the teachers wish they could have a “do over” on.
I also imagine the end of this school year CAN NOT come fast enough for this embattled group!!

That douchebag Fleming wasn’t embattled, what a joke of a headline HDT!!! He is and forever more will be a cowardly douchebag!!

The fine educators of this district are the truly embattled ones!!!

This group of educators have had maybe the worst year of teaching throughout their whole careers!!
Imagine if you will, the worst day you’ve  ever had at your job…. now think of that worst day playing over and over, and over again….. welcome to the year in the life of a teacher in ISD #701 school district….. all while your main priority is keeping order in your classroom, keeping lesson plans straight, doing this, doing that….. yet there’s that filth again, showing its ugly face day after day!!
Did I say these people don’t get paid enough, especially this year??

Supposed leader’s of ISD #701 have been hurting or abusing our city’s future for long enough!!
